1. The President is the Chief Executive of the Chapter and the Board of Directors. She shall see that all resolutions and business of the Board and of the Chapter are carried out and that all duties and responsibilities, which are implied in the Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules, are fulfilled.
2. She shall preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors and of the membership and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees, except the Nominating Committee.
3. If, while chairing a meeting, she wishes to express a personal opinion, she must vacate the chair by turning her gavel over to the Vice President before expressing her opinion.
4. The President shall be the Chapter delegate at the International Delegates Meeting and the Area 2 Council Meetings, and she shall represent the Chapter at the Annual Membership Meeting at the International Convention. In the absence of the President, the Vice President will be the first Alternate Delegate and then the next ranking Executive Board Member

1. The Executive Treasurer shall have custody of all Chapter funds and shall keep a full and accurate account of all receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the Chapter. Her records shall be open for inspection by any Chapter member.
2. She shall maintain a checking account and may maintain a savings account in the name of Harmony Heritage Chapter of Harmony, Inc. in a banking institution agreeable to both the Executive Treasurer and the Board of Directors.
3. She shall file the President's signature with the bank to be used in case of emergency.
4. She shall administer the funds of the Chapter as directed by the Board of Directors.
5. She shall be authorized to sign checks for payment of money in the name of the Chapter.

l. The Corresponding Secretary shall handle correspondence as designated by the President or Board of Directors, retaining copies in a permanent file and furnishing a copy of all outgoing correspondence to the President.
2. She shall send notes of appreciation and congratulations, e.g., top chorus and quartet at Area 2 AC&C, all medalists at International and all others as deemed necessary.
3. She shall process membership certification forms for renewals, new members and transfers.
4. She shall notify the Executive Secretary of Harmony, Inc. of any loss of member using the appropriate forms.

1. The Recording Secretary shall precisely record all minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors and the general membership. The minutes, of both the Chapter and Board meetings, shall be recorded in a record book and kept by the Recording Secretary. These minutes shall be available to the membership at any time upon request.
2. A first draft of any meeting minutes shall be distributed to the BOD for their approval or amendment. After this process, the minutes are voted on either in person or electronically. The approved minutes are then distributed to the Chorus.
3. She shall retain all official Chapter documents.
4. She shall account for all Chapter properties. She shall prepare and maintain a checklist of all properties belonging to the Chapter including the location of these properties so that they may be obtained when needed. A copy of this list shall be given to the President.

 Parliamentarian
1. The Parliamentarian shall be an advisor to the President on all parliamentary procedures
and shall attend all meetings of the Board of Directors, using Roberts Rules of Order,
Revised, to refer to and for authority.
2. She shall supervise voting procedures for all matters except those conducted by the
Nominating Committee for the election of the Board of Directors.
3. She shall be Chairman of all Tellers Committees.
4. When an International vote is pending, she shall contact all members who are on a leave of
absence. She shall inform them of their voting privileges and accept their absentee vote.
NOTE: Members on leave of absence are ineligible to vote on Chapter issues.
5. She shall be responsible for the delivery of ballots, signed by her, to all members who expect
to be absent at the time of voting.
6. She shall be responsible for the absolute secrecy of these ballots for the final tally.
7. She shall also have the duty and authority of maintaining order and discipline at all Board of
Director meetings and Chapter meetings.
8. In the absence of the Parliamentarian, the President shall appoint a Parliamentarian Pro Tem.
9. Each January, the Recording Secretary and the Parliamentarian shall review all the minutes
of the previous year's meetings for any changes not yet voted on which affect the Bylaws or
Standing Rules. The changes, if any, shall be given to each Chapter member.
10. She shall maintain permanent files to be turned over to her successor at the beginning of the
new fiscal year.
11. She shall prepare and present a written annual report to the President, with a copy to the
Recording Secretary.

sic Chairman
a. The Music Chairman shall act as a liaison between the Music Team and the Board
of Directors.
b. She will hold a formal meeting with the Music Team at least 6 times a year.
c. She shall provide all chapter members with minutes of all team meetings.
d. She shall set up all necessary auditions making sure the Musical Director(s) and
Assistant Director(s) are present. Following the audition, the Music Team will confer,
with the final decision resting with the Director(s) and Assistant Director(s). The
Music Chairman will then advise the President of the results of the audition.
e. She shall provide the Board of Directors with a written report of all budgetary
expenditures.
f. She shall maintain permanent files to be turned over to her successor.
g. She shall prepare and present a written annual report to the President, with a copy
to the Recording Secretary.
 

The Costume Chairman shall appoint a committee of her choice. They will be responsible for the selection of appropriate costumes, accessories, makeup and all other pertinent duties related to appearance, such as the upkeep of costumes and accessories. All final decisions are determined by this committee.
